NEW DELHI: Vaio was known for making sleek laptops with mighty specifications. As part of its relaunch efforts, the brand has introduced its new Vaio Z (2021) laptop which uses carbon fiber three-dimensionally including the bottom part. The laptop comes with Intel‘s four-core Core i7- 11357H processor and weighs 958 grams.
Vaio Z comes with military grade certification and it can survive drops. The company claims that the laptop has passed 26 surface drops. The laptop features a 14-inch 4K HDR LCD display and runs Windows 10 Home operating system. The RAM capacity of Vaio Z starts from 8GB and goes up to 32GB, while the SSD starts from 256GB and goes up to 2TB.
Vaio Z comes with only one USB-C (Thunderbolt 4), HDMI output and headphone jack. Despite the sleek design, the laptop comes equipped with a webcam with privacy lock option. The laptop comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for Windows Hello unlock.
The display open bends up to 180 degrees and users can also rotate the display with the help of a dedicated shortcut (Fn+2).
Vaio Z comes with a newly designed microphone and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The company claims that Vaio Z can deliver up to 17 hours of battery backup on a single charge and it also supports fast charging.
The price of Vaio Z starts at 272,580 yen (US$ 2574 / Rs 1,87,263 approx.) and it goes up to 366,080 yen (US$ 3457 / Rs 2,51,480 approx.). Customers can pre-order the device from the company’s website.
