After iPhone and Apple Watch, it seems like the next Apple product to hit the milestone is MacBook.
According to a report by MacRumors, Barclays analysts in a research note have said that Apple is likely to report record Mac shipments in 2021.
“Apple has seen strong demand for Macs driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the release of Apple silicon Macs,” says the report by MacRumors.
Last year in December, TFI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, had claimed that the company is planning to launch two redesigned MacBook Pro models in 2021 followed by a new MacBook Air model in 2022. One thing that is likely to be common between these three is that they may feature mini-LED displays and Apple Silicon chips.
Also in January, Kuo had also claimed that the two new models in the MacBook Pro lineup with “the most significant design update to the MacBook Pro in the last five years.”
This report had said that the MacBooks will be launched in 14- and 16-inch size options and both these models are said to offer a flat-edged design, similar to the iPhone 12.
As for the expected date of launch, it is said that Apple may launch the two models in the third quarter of 2021.
