Sony Alpha 1 full-frame mirrorless camera is now available in India. The company has launched a new camera with a 50.1MP full-frame stacked Exmor RS image sensor.
The new camera is priced at Rs 5,59,990. It will be available for sale in the country from March 12 onwards. The device can be purchased from all Sony Centers, Alpha Flagship stores, www.ShopatSC.com portal and major electronic stores across the country.
Sony’s new Alpha 1 camera can offer continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second. It is equipped with a 9.44 million dot OLED Quad-XGA electronic viewfinder having a refresh rate of 240fps.
The company says that its 50.1MP image sensor can shoot up to 155 full-frame compressed RAW images or 165 full-frame JPEG images at up to 30 frames per second. Alpha 1 is capable of recording 8K 30p 10-bit 4:2:0 XAVC HS video with 8.6K oversampling.
It also supports 4K 120p / 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 recording. Sony Alpha 1 camera features AI-based real-time tracking along with real-time eye AF.
The new camera features S-Cinetone colour matrix to produce FX9 and FX6 colour and skin tones. It comes with the S-Log3 gamma curve to achieve 15+ stops of dynamic range. The new Sony camera also offers S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3 Cine colour gamut settings.
The new camera offers 5-axis optical in-body image stabilisation which is said to achieve up to a 5.5-step shutter speed advantage. It features flicker-free shooting with the help of flash sync speed of 1/400 sec.
For connectivity, the new camera comes with built-in Wi-Fi, SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps, and 1000BASE-T ethernet. Sony Alpha 1 camera has two media slots that both support UHS-I and UHS-II SDXC/SDHC cards.
