NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is expected to launch its next generation flagship Galaxy S series of smartphones on January 14, 2021. Now full specifications of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra have leaked online. Popular tipster Roland Quandt tweeted a link to the WinFuture report which showed the complete specifications of the yet-to-launch Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to run Android 11 operating system out-of-the box topped with Samsung’s own One UI 3.1. The dual SIM smartphone is expected to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is said to be protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7 on top. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s models for the European market are expected to be powered by the company’s yet-to-launch Exynos 2100 chipset, while the US models are said to feature the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
The smartphone is expected to pack 12GB of RAM and come in three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The report suggests that the storage will not be expandable this time. Talking about the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to sport multiple lens camera setup which will comprise a 108MP main sensor with optical image stabilization. The smartphone is also said to come with two additional zoom lenses with 10MP resolution.
The report adds that one lens will have 35 degree field-of-view and f/2.4 aperture, while the other will have 10-degree field-of-view and f/4.9 aperture.
The handset is also said to house a 12MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to come with laser autofocus. The front of the device is expected to offer dual camera with 40MP main sensor and 12MP secondary sensor.
The report also mentions that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra might come with S Pen support which will be optional. The company will not be selling the S Pen with the handset and the customers are expected to purchase it separately. The smartphone is expected to house a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The smartphone is also said to support wireless charging. The report also adds that this time the company will not be bundling any charger or earphones with the device.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to come with an IP68 rating which will make the smartphone dust and water resistant. The handset is said to come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and said to be priced at 1,399 euros (Rs1,25,700).
