IPL 2021 Preview, SRH vs MI: Can Sunrisers Hyderabad stop resurgent Mumbai Indians? | Cricket News

Mumbai Indians (MI) are riding high after chasing down an improbable win against Chennai Super Kings, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) go into the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the defending champions in Delhi with their morale low after a string of defeats.
A mid-season captaincy switch has added to the confusion in the SRH ranks. Nothing seems to be going the Sunrisers’ way this season; and unless they get their act together, they run the risk of suffering the ignominy CSK faced in the IPL last season.
Sunrisers have tinkered with their combination quite a bit this year, necessitated by injuries and situations.

Kane Williamson has replaced David Warner at the helm, with Warner even losing his spot in the playing XI against Rajasthan Royals. But the moves have not paid dividends.
If the first three matches and defeats were an aberration, Sunrisers just about retrieved the situation with a big win against Punjab Kings, only to falter again.

Except for the ‘Super Over’ defeat to Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers have only themselves to blame for the position they are in. Now, with just two points from seven games and languishing at the bottom, Sunrisers face a stiff task on Tuesday as Mumbai look to move up the points tally.
Currently fourth in the standings with eight points, Mumbai will be happy that their out-of-sorts batting got a shot in the arm with Kieron Pollard’s blazing knock against Chennai.
